The eaves of the former ranch house were cut off to create the minimal form of a Monopoly house.  In the front, the new wing on the right served to enclose a courtyard leading to the all-galls wall of the foyer, which the red beam announces as the entry.  The beam supports an overhang that provides passive solar design by shading the foyer in the summer and by letting sun to penetrate the glass wall during the winter.
